Dance, Pilates and Core Work: Designed for the Post Partum Bodies

Babies are invited! We are a baby friendly space, we have all you need for an infant. We have baby carriers, diapers, wipes, a huge changing table, bouncers, mats, toys, high chairs, fridge and microwave for all your milk/formula needs. This Class is for non-mobile babies

Mom and baby dance workout: dance with your baby in this fun class for moms of new babies. For the first 20 minutes we will dance while holding our babies or with baby carriers, and then we will spend 20 minutes with pilates and Core work. The last 20 minutes of class will be for winding down stretching and chating with other moms

Joy Morris: Instructor

My name is Joy Morris ! I am dancer, yoga, pilates and fitness instructor and freelance performer. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Dance Performance in 2012, where ballet was the focus of my major. I also have training in gymnastics and acrobatics, which I love to teach.

I love hanging out with my family! I have a 6 year old daughter, Lololi, and a four month old baby girl Xola. My fiance Aerick and I are also getting married in June. I am so excited to start offering classes at Topanga studio to help other moms connect, get fit and have fun!

Dance, Pilates and Core Work: Designed for the Post Partum Bodies

Babies are invited! We are a baby friendly space, we have all you need for an infant. We have baby carriers, diapers, wipes, a huge changing table, bouncers, mats, toys, high chairs, fridge and microwave for all your milk/formula needs. This Class is for non-mobile babies

Mom and baby dance workout: dance with your baby in this fun class for moms of new babies. For the first 20 minutes we will dance while holding our babies or with baby carriers, and then we will spend 20 minutes with pilates and Core work. The last 20 minutes of class will be for winding down stretching and chating with other moms

Joy Morris: Instructor

My name is Joy Morris ! I am dancer, yoga, pilates and fitness instructor and freelance performer. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Dance Performance in 2012, where ballet was the focus of my major. I also have training in gymnastics and acrobatics, which I love to teach.

I love hanging out with my family! I have a 6 year old daughter, Lololi, and a four month old baby girl Xola. My fiance Aerick and I are also getting married in June. I am so excited to start offering classes at Topanga studio to help other moms connect, get fit and have fun!

Wild Things! Let the Wild Rumpus Begin!

Nature and the classic book. Where the Wild Things Are, by Maurice Sendak inspire this class. We will be venturing outside the studio’s back door into the lovely woods and grassy knolls of Parkview Hills! We will find inspiration for movement, from the clouds, the grass, birds, budding trees and the ripples on the pond. Let’s see what inspires your wild thing!

We will also be reading Sendak’s Classic and exploring movement and theatre within the confines of these classic Wild Things. Can we gnash our teeth, dance with abandon and conquer our fears? Yes, we can!

Ballet to Hip Hop: A Dance Class Sampler (Session M)

Still wondering what class style to sign your little mover up for? This class could help you decide. Each week, Ms. Kris Allemang-Stahl, will give a basic overview of a style of dance offered by most regional studios. Wether your bringing up a Bruno Mars or Baryshnikov, your small person will enjoy this class and the energy infused in the instruction!

This Classes last session will be on June 3rd, skipping the holiday on the 27th.

Wont You Be My Nieghbor? (Session M)

So, do your little people follow the wisdom of the Great Striped One? Daniel Tiger is a great influence on all our small people (and of course, Mr Rogers). We want to take these lessons a bit further in this class. Lets sing, dance together and use theatre to role play some of the scenarios in a new way. Lets talk about feeling, dealing with anger, safety and all the others! Ill even take requests based on the students who sign up! What is your kids favorite DT songs and what do they need to learn? I will customize this class for your children! Ages 2-4 recommended.
